Access to and use of the services of Lutetia Travel (and /or “us/we/our/its”) is subject to acceptance of these Terms and Conditions (“Terms and Conditions”). By booking travel with Lutetia Travel you, the Traveler (“Customer” or “Client” and/or “Passenger”, and/or “you/your/yourself, his/her, them/theirs”) acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions on behalf of yourself and anyone in your party and agree to be bound by these terms.
Use of this website
All information and graphics on this website are protected by U.S. and International Copyright Laws. Lutetia Travel makes every effort to provide timely and accurate information on this website. However, Lutetia Travel will not be responsible for any direct or indirect loss, damages or injuries arising from the use of information on this website.
COVID-19 TRAVEL ADVISORY PROVISION
Lutetia Travel urges Travelers to remain informed on a daily basis as to current news, as well as to review travel prohibitions, warnings, announcements, and advisories issued by the United States Government prior to booking travel to international destinations.
You agree that it is your personal decision to travel, and you are doing so with full knowledge of current travel recommendations and travel restrictions with regards to the risks of COVID-19.
We assume no responsibility for and shall not be liable for unsafe conditions or health hazards including pandemics or other illnesses. We have no special knowledge of dangers during travel or at destinations.
For information related to such dangers, we recommend going to the State Department travel website at www.travel.state.gov, click on "Find International travel Information” then click on "Country Information", and fill in the name of the destination country.
For medical and health information, we recommend going to the Centers for Disease Control website at www.cdc.gov/travel, then click on “Destinations” and scroll to the name of the destination country.

Lutetia Travel Retail Disclaimer
Lutetia Travel offers retail travel services to Customers, which are provided by separate and independent suppliers of travel services. Lutetia Travel does not operate, control, or otherwise provide the services of these independent travel suppliers. Hence, Customer agrees that Lutetia Travel acts only as agent for the Client in acquiring transportation, hotel accommodations, sightseeing, and other privileges, or services for the Clients’ benefit, and on the express condition that Lutetia Travel shall not be responsible for any loss, accident, injury, delay, defect, omission or irregularity which may occur or be occasioned, whether by reason of any act, negligence or default of any company or person engaged in or responsible for carrying out any of the arrangements, or otherwise in connection therewith. Suppliers whose names appear in your travel documentation are those actually responsible for providing the travel services purchased, and you consent to the use of those suppliers. You understand and agree to each supplier’s Terms and Conditions, which govern the transaction.
Lutetia Travel shall not be responsible for any injuries, damages, or losses caused to any Traveler in connection with terrorist activities, social or labor unrest, mechanical or construction failures or difficulties, diseases, local laws, climatic conditions, criminal acts or abnormal conditions or developments, or any other actions, omissions, or conditions outside Lutetia Travel’s control.
Traveler assumes complete and full responsibility for, and hereby releases Lutetia Travel from any duty of, checking and verifying all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of each destination, and all safely or security conditions at such destinations, during the length of the proposed travel.

By embarking upon her/his travel, the Traveler voluntarily assumes all risks involved in such travel, whether expected or unexpected. Traveler is hereby warned of such risks and is advised to obtain appropriate insurance coverage against them.
Traveler's retention of tickets, reservations, or bookings after issuance shall constitute a consent to the above, and an agreement on her/his part to convey the contents hereto to his/her travel companions or group members.
Passports & Visas
It is the Travelers' responsibility to verify their necessary travel documents. Proof of identity is required for all travel. Without proper identification or passport and necessary visas you will not be permitted to depart
It is the Travelers' responsibility to secure a visa and/or consult a visa service sufficiently in advance of their trip to allow them to secure the necessary documentation in advance of their travel dates.
The U.S. State Department recommends that all Travelers’ passports remain valid for six months beyond their expected return date. Airlines have refused boarding to Travelers on flights to certain countries based on their immigration requirements. See: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel.html
The U.S. State Department recommends that all Travelers’ passports have a minimum of at least two blank pages left or travel may be refused to certain countries. Visa requirements vary by the citizenship of the Traveler and their travel destination. See: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel.html
Intermediate Stops in Non-Destination Country may require additional visas. Under certain circumstances an itinerary may involve traveling through an intermediate country that may require a visa despite none being required for your ultimate destination. Health Advisory
Passengers are responsible to have the proper immunizations, health screenings and documentation required before travel. Lutetia Travel will not assume responsibility for the accuracy of health requirements or vaccination and/or documentation prior to departure or upon arrival at the final destination.
Domestic Travel Identification

REAL ID: Beginning May 3, 2023, every air Traveler 18 years of age and older will need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, state-issued enhanced driver’s license, or another acceptable form of ID to fly within the United States. Privacy Notice
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requires you to provide your full name, date of birth, and gender for the purpose of watch list screening, under the authority of 49 U.S.C section 114, the Intelligence reform and Terrorism prevention Act of 2004 and 49 C.F.F parts 1540 and 1560. You may also provide your Redress Number, if available. Failure to provide your full name, date of birth and gender may result in denial of transport or denial of authority to enter the boarding area. TSA may share information you provide with law enforcement or intelligence agencies or others under its published system of records notice. For more on TSA privacy policies, or to review the system of records notice and the privacy impact assessment, please see the TSA website at www.tsa.gov.
Airline Tickets
Schedules, flights and fares are based on current tariffs and are subject to change without notice and seats are subject to availability. Prices and offers are not guaranteed before reservations are confirmed with full passenger names, dates of birth , contact information and paid in full. Most tickets are nonrefundable and any changes to the original purchased fare can incur an applicable fare difference plus nonrefundable airline and/or travel agency processing fees. If your plans change enroute, contact Lutetia Travel or the ticketed airline for assistance. Additional charges and fees may apply. In case you cannot travel, please contact Lutetia Travel or the airline to cancel or change your reservation prior to your flight time or ticket will have no value as no-shows are nonrefundable.
Seat assignment is subject to change by the airline without notice. Lutetia Travel has not authority over the airline.
Valid Travel Documents
Please verify your travel documents same day, upon receipt. Please call Lutetia Travel for any questions. We are not responsible for any discrepancies after 24 hours of issuance.
Flight Reconfirmation
We strongly recommend that you reconfirm the use and time of your flights at least 24 hours for domestic and 72 hours for international travel. In case you cannot travel, please contact Lutetia Travel or the airline to cancel or change your reservation prior to your flight time or ticket will have no value. Failure to use a reservation may result in automatic cancelation of all continuing and return flights, as well as forfeiture of airfares.

Check-in times
Due to enhanced security, we recommend that you check in two hours in advance for domestic flights and three hours prior to your international flight. Late arrival at the airport can result in loss of assigned seats or denied boarding. In case of denied boarding your ticket is not eligible for credit/refund or travel insurance reimbursement and will have no value.
Cancellations and Refunds
Revisions, cancellations, and refund policies vary by supplier. Insurance premiums, airfare and some supplier fees are nonrefundable. The ability to refund your airline ticket/travel package are subject to the rules of the ticketed fare and specific Terms and Conditions of the airline/supplier, therefore administrative fees and penalties may apply. Lutetia Travel reserves the right to charge processing fees in the event of refunds, cancellations, upgrades, and other services.
Most travel bookings are non-refundable and cancelled bookings will incur airline/supplier charges for changes. These charges can be up to 100% of the cost of the booking, regardless of whether travel has commenced. Where Lutetia Travel incurs any liability for a cancellation fee or charge for any booking that you cancel, you agree to indemnify Lutetia Travel for that fee or charge.
Cancellation/change penalties are advised at time of booking and provided to you upon confirmation. Lutetia Travel has the ability to pass on additional supplier charges to clients and to adjust its fees if necessary. If you have any questions, or any penalties are unclear, please contact Lutetia Travel. All cancellation fees will be charged to the credit card you authorized to pay for travel services or deducted from the supplier’s refund.
Service Fees
Lutetia Travel has non-refundable service fees and change fees when assisting you with making changes or obtaining any refunds due from airline/suppliers, or for making voluntary changes, rebooking trips using future credits and also when making/changing tour/cruise/hotel/car reservations.

Additional Fees
Additional taxes and surcharges that cannot be pre-collected may be charged locally by airlines, car rental agencies, hotels, or other suppliers. Most properties and vehicle rental/leasing companies require a credit card imprint at check-in.
Schedule Changes
The airline/supplier may determine that alterations in itinerary are necessary for any number of reasons, including but not limited to severe weather. Any alterations to an itinerary are at the sole discretion of the airline/supplier and Lutetia Travel shall not assume any responsibility for any air and/or ground schedule changes.
Hotels Reservations
Hotels are usually confirmed on a guaranteed payment basis. If you cancel or change plans, please notify your hotel(s) within the time period specified by that hotel. Rules may vary by property. Some hotel reservations can be nonrefundable and non-changeable. Check with Lutetia Travel before booking nonrefundable hotel reservations.
Group Travel
Group air/tours/packages are based on a Minimum Number of passengers traveling: if the number of passengers falls below the minimum required, a price increase and a surcharge may be imposed on all passengers.
Credit Card Transactions
If for any reason, any travel service provider is unable to provide the services for which you have contracted, your remedy lies against the provider, and not against Lutetia Travel, and in the event that payment has been made to Lutetia Travel by credit card, you agree that you will not seek to charge back your payment to Lutetia Travel.
Travel Insurance
For your protection, we strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance. There are different types of medical, baggage or trip cancellations insurance from the supplier or the agencies. Insurance coverage may not cover pre-existing conditions and may have other restrictions and exclusions. Consult the insurance carriers direct for details.
Trip insurance or waivers provided by the supplier may not offer insolvency coverage. However, Lutetia Travel is not an insurance company and has no responsibility for the submission, payment, or adjustment of any insurance claims. Any insurance claims that may fall under the relevant travel insurance policy must be submitted to the insurance company identified in the policy. Please note that, unless you buy a cancel-for-any-reason policy, most policies have a specific clause stating they do not cover epidemics and pandemics, especially when travel warnings are in place. No representation or description of the insurance made by our staff constitutes a binding assurance or promise about the insurance. You agree to hold Lutetia Travel harmless for your election not to purchase travel insurance or for any denial of claim by travel insurer as it relates to COVID-19 or any other claim under the policy.
Bagage Allowance
The Customer should check directly with the airline(s), indicated on your itinerary, for the latest baggage allowance information in order to learn about the permitted count, size, and weight for every type of item you would like to bring on the trip. Some airlines offer lower, very restrictive, nonrefundable, and non-changeable fares that do not include luggage. On these flights, additional fees for baggage may apply at the airport upon check-in. Lutetia Travel bears no responsibility or liability for luggage fees you incur and are charged by the airline.
Pack Safe

Aircraft Disinsection
We recommend that you refer to the DOT list of airports in countries that require airlines to treat passenger cabins with insecticides prior to the flight or while on the aircraft. https://www.transportation.gov/airconsumer/spray

Financial Condition of Travel Suppliers
If an airline/supplier declares bankruptcy, it might continue service, limit service, or stop completely. Other airlines/suppliers might accept passengers under limited circumstances or may refuse to accept any passengers from the defaulted carrier/supplier. Travel insurance plans are available for passengers to protect themselves in case of airline bankruptcies.
Lutetia Travel is not responsible for the acts or omissions of travel suppliers or their failure to adhere to their own schedules, provide services or refunds, financial default, or failure to honor future trip credits. We have no special knowledge regarding the financial condition of the suppliers, and we have no liability for recommending a trip credit in lieu of a refund.
Changes to Terms and Conditions
Lutetia Travel reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions of the Terms and Conditions will be posted on our website and are effective immediately on posting.
Claims and Exclusive Jurisdiction
You agree to present any claims against us within 30 days after your trip ends. You agree that the courts in Fairfax County, VA will be the exclusive jurisdiction for all claims brought by you or us, and you hereby submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Agreement
These Terms and Conditions (and any other Terms and Conditions referenced herein) constitute the entire agreement between the Traveler and Lutetia Travel with respect to travel bookings made with Lutetia Travel by any means, and it supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral, or written, between Traveler and Lutetia Travel with respect to communications with Lutetia Travel. A printed version of this agreement and of any notice given in electronic form shall be admissible in judicial or administrative proceedings based upon or relating to these Terms and Conditions to the same extent and subject to the same conditions as other business documents and records originally generated and maintained in printed form.

Lutetia Travel is a Registered Seller of Travel with the State of California (CST number 2057271-40). "Registration as a seller of travel does not constitute approval by the State of California".
The California Seller of Travel Law requires certain sellers of travel to have a trust account or bond in order to protect the passenger's purchase money. This business has a trust account.
Upon cancellation of the transportation or travel services, where the passenger is not at fault and has not canceled in violation of any terms and conditions previously clearly and conspicuously disclosed to and agreed to by the passenger, all sums paid to the seller of travel for services not provided will be promptly paid to the passenger, unless the passenger otherwise advises the seller of travel in writing, after cancellation. This provision does not apply where the seller of travel has remitted the payment to another registered wholesale seller of travel or a carrier, without obtaining a refund, and where the wholesaler or provider defaults in providing the agreed-upon transportation or service. In this situation, the seller of travel must provide the passenger with a written statement accompanied by bank records establishing the disbursement of the payment, and if disbursed to a wholesale seller of travel, proof of current registration of that wholesaler.
A transaction is covered by the California Travel Consumer Restitution Fund (TCRF) if the seller of travel was registered and participating in the TCRF at the time of sale and the passenger is located in California at the time of payment. Eligible passengers may file a claim with TCRF if the passenger is owed a refund of more than $50 for transportation or travel services which the seller of travel failed to forward to a proper provider or such money was not refunded to you when required. The maximum amount which may be paid by the TCRF to any one passenger is the total amount paid on behalf of the passenger to the seller of travel, not to exceed $15,000. A claim must be submitted to the TCRF within 12 months after the scheduled completion date of the travel. A claim must include sufficient documentation to prove your claim and a $35 processing fee. Claimants must agree to waive their right to other civil remedies against a registered participating seller of travel for matters arising out of a sale for which you file a TCRF claim.

For Passengers purchasing from outside of California: Transactions are not covered by the California Travel Consumer Restitution Fund.
For California Customers: Lutetia Travel is a participant in the Travel Consumer Restitution Corporation (TCRC).
"Right of California Customer to Make Claim on the California Travel Consumer Restitution Fund" "In the event of this Travel Agency's/Supplier default, you may be eligible for a refund of up to $15,000 from the California Travel Consumer Restitution Fund. If you were located in California at the time of your purchase, you have a right to make a claim against the Fund for a refund of any money paid to this Travel Agency that is due because of this Travel Agency's/Supplier bankruptcy, insolvency, cessation of operations, or material failure to provide the transportation or travel services sold. The claim must be filed within 60 days (no later than 6 months) after you become aware of your loss". If your loss exceeds $50, you must file a claim to be eligible for reimbursement from the fund. To request a claim form, send a $35 filing fee to the: Travel Consumer Restitution Corporation @: P.O. Box 6001, Larkspur, CA 94977-6011.Upon cancellation of the transportation or travel services, where you, the customer, are not at fault and have not canceled in violation of the terms and conditions, if any, of the contract for transportation or travel services, all sums paid to this Travel Agency for services not received by you will be promptly refunded by this Travel Agency unless you otherwise advise this Travel Agency in writing."Consumers not located in California: "This transaction is not covered by the California Travel Consumer Restitution Fund. You are not eligible to file a claim against that Fund in the event of Travel Agency's/Supplier default."
